Genesis 13 begins with something easy to overlook, but it matters deeply. After everything that happened in Egypt—after fear, poor decisions, and failure—Abram doesn’t stay there. He comes back. He returns to the place where he had once built an altar, and he calls on the Lord again. Nothing dramatic, nothing complicated—just a simple return. This reminds us that following God doesn’t mean we won’t mess up. It means we know where to go when we do. Scripture tells us that when we confess, He is faithful to forgive and restore. Abram’s story continues not because he was perfect, but because he came back. And that same truth applies to us. You don’t have to stay where you failed. You can return, seek God again, and continue walking with Him. So the question is: where do you need to come back?
