Rewriting a sin(t)+b cos(t) as a single cos function

In this video, I demonstrate how to rewrite a sin(t)+b cos(t) in the form A cos(t-C) using a trig identity. This is useful when trying to determine the amplitude and phase shift of an oscillating solution to a second order linear ODE.
