I demonstrate how the Ring Stinger can be used as a modulator w/o the Ring Mod circuit. The important thing to note is that if the Ring Mod circuit is not engaged, then the VCO is bypassed; it has no effect. The video shows how the Ring Stinger interacts with the Mavis via the LFO and Drive circuits, Timbre & Blend. I had to correct one bit of information: the Drive circuit overdrives the output of the synth post-VCA. So it adds harmonics to the output which intensifies the effect of the wave-folding.
