I'm doubling down on J-horror for this month. Why? Because these movies are terrifying. The 1998 Japanese horror film, RINGU (directed by Hideo Nakata), is one of the films that started the J-horror craze in the United States. We loved them so much that we made versions of our own later on.
Based on the 1991 novel by Kôji Suzuki, RINGU is about a reporter and her ex-husband who investigate a cursed VHS tape. Rumor has it that the viewer who watches the tape, gets a mysterious phone call notifying them that they have seven days to live.
