River: Niangua River

The Niangua River in Missouri is one of the most beautiful rivers you will ever float. The Spring flooding season changes the river each year and when you get to float just after a flooding event, you experience the river so differently that when you float again under "normal" river conditions, you feel like you are floating an entirely different river.
This video was filmed the 1st weekend of May 2026, less than a week after a flooding event. The river was up higher than normal and moving well over a thousand cfs, which is pretty fast for this river (we covered 20 miles the day before in 6 hours including a long lunch stop) This video was shot on a section just past Lead Mine Conservation area.
