RLS 23 - Spindles

In this video, since we are getting more into the decorative hardware side of things with Baldwin, it’s important one understands the various spindles that are available for use both in the Baldwin line and across many antiques and even current production commercial mortise locks. Corbin, Russwin, Reading, National, Penn, Sargent, Schlage, pretty much every mortise lock made uses a spindle to actuate the latch with the knob or lever. They all use a “spindle” of some kind to operate the latch so we are going to take a look at the types and differences of the more common styles out there!
