On this day, coal was being loaded on board, cargo had arrived, and much of her final furniture, china, and medicine had been brought on board, and so on. As she was in Southampton, Olympic was making her 10th westbound crossing to New York, where she would arrive on April 10th, the same day as Titanic's departure from Southampton. 23 years later, in 1935, Olympic, after serving for 24 years, including as a troopship during the Great War (World War I), makes her final departure from Southampton. Bound for Jarrow where she would be scrapped alongside the Mauretania, sister ship of the Lusitania.
