Road Rage CONSTRUCTION ZONE
My wife and I were driving to Somerset to enjoy the nice weather and take a scenic route through Wisconsin. As we entered a construction zone, traffic slowed slightly, and we maintained a steady 55 mph with cruise control. The adjacent lane was closed, so all vehicles were required to stay in a single lane. Shortly after entering the construction area, a truck behind us began approaching at an unsafe speed. Instead of slowing down, the driver continued to close the distance until they were nearly striking our rear bumper multiple times. Each time they accelerated toward us, they also revved their engine aggressively, which appeared to be an attempt at intimidation. With no open lane to move into, we had no safe way to let the vehicle pass. When my wife turned around to take a photo of the truck for documentation, the driver appeared to notice and abruptly swerved onto the exit ramp to get away. The behavior was reckless, unnecessary, and created a dangerous situation in an already restricted construction zone. What was meant to be a simple, relaxing drive turned into a safety concern due to another driver’s actions. We are in our 60's and Handicapped, this really stressed us out ☹️ WI-64 Eastbound - 5-17-26 NOT FOR PUBLIC USE SO DON'T ASK
