Apsara dance originated from the story of the churning of the sea of milk (during the battle between the devas and the asuras to get amrit water, which is an immortal medicine). Apsara is a fairy goddess and a dancer from heaven. Apsara is not only a dancer from heaven, but also the mother of Khmer, because in today's Khmer mythology comes from the alliance between Eisi Kampuchea Sveamphu and Tep Apsara Mera. Apsara Dance is a classical dance or royal dance inscribed on the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list on November 7, 2003 in Istanbul, Turkey.
