Robert Fields - The Urban Jungle
Solo production and a 13-track recording with rhythm, bass, guitar and keyboards. Music composed by Bernard Ebbinghouse (the Human Jungle theme), arranged and conducted by John Barry, renamed, rearranged and adapted by Robert Fields. Recorded 04/15-17/2026, produced 04/17/2026. This sketch titled Town was made in 1992 while I was still in the upper years of the Academy for Industrial Design Eindhoven, following architectonic modules. Wether this drawing is a prodrome of mental illness, is difficult to prove. It depends on your perception of a city. Fact is however, that it is an artistic impression of a town that is like an urban jungle. I left this living environment 17 years later and lived in the rural area until now, another 17 years. I consider moving out of the city as the smartest choice I made in my life, although it was quite an adventure. I became officially homeless for two days and lived in Gent, Belgium for 40 days before finding a house to rent in Sas van Gent for five years, close to the Belgian border. That was my first experience in the rural area; not a jungle, more like the middle of nowhere...
