Date: 2019 instructors: Morteza Rahbar, Fereshteh Khojastemehr, Shirin Shobeiri, Mehrnaz Houshmand The RoboWall 3-day workshop was designed to introduce students to the process of digital robot control and robotic brick wall construction. In this case, brick walls were parametrically modelled in the grasshopper environment, and the movement of robots was simulated using the Kuka -prc add-on, and the process of constructing a brick wall was virtually simulated. Students worked in groups of four to model alternative designs for brick walls and simulate robot movement and check the trajectories. Then, using a 6-axis robot arm, one of the walls was chosen as the final sample, and its physical manufacturing process was tested. Students were introduced to the concept of G-code and the robots’ programming language during this process.
