This spin-off of JEOPARDY! was created for the VH-1 cable music channel. Played like JEOPARDY! but with all the questions devoted to popular music, the show is emceed by Jeff Probst, who achieved infamy as host of the 2000 summer hit SURVIVOR.
The theme song, based on the original JEOPARDY! music written by Merv Griffin, was reworked by Steve Kaplan and Douglas Macaskill. Kaplan also wrote music for the 1990s versions of THE DATING GAME and THE NEWLYWED GAME.
