Roland MC101 semi generative ambient jam / patch.

This is small section of a longer recording of a semi-generative jam/patch on the MC101. The generative element is created by utilising the random playback setting and polyrhythms, with each track and clip evolving at different lengths. I’m also using the looper track to create some reverse atmospheres and FX. I’ve been approaching music making on the MC101 with a generative and modular mindset, dialling things in and just letting them play out - taking the parts that work and discarding the rest. Im in no way suggesting the 101 has anywhere near the depth of modular, but there’s enough in this box to just press play and sit back.
