Rolling Hills Watercolor Postcard Landscape Tutorial This is the 4th of 4 watercolor postcard landscapes in this series. This tutorial will demonstrate creating a wet in wet background, lifting paint with a paper towel to create clouds and layering wet on dry to create plants and trees in our landscape. Supplies I use (for all 4 paintings - not all will be used in each painting): Arteza brand watercolor postcards - 4x6" 100% cotton Princeton Aqua Elite series brushes - 1/2" wash, Round 1, 4 & 8 Mrs. Hand Painted handmade watercolors - Iowa Prairie set available in my Etsy shop. https://www.etsy.com/shop/MrsHandPainted​ Ox Eye - a golden yellow Cardinal Flower - a rosy bright pink with a bit of yellow undertone Prairie Sky - a bright greenish blue Bur Oak - dark umber / burnt umber Prairie Dropseed - a golden green Blazingstar - a red / pink leaning violet (mix of Quin Pink and Cobalt Blue) Reakirt's Blue - a mixture of Ultramarine and Burnt Sienna 2:1 ratio Wild Rye - Brown Iron Oxide Other supplies: Heat tool / dryer for drying layers between steps Two jars for water Paper towel Washi tape or painter's tape Piece of chipboard / cardboard to tape down your paper
