Routing Sound- Mixers and Audio Interfaces (Tutorial)

If you saw my linear pcm recorder video, you probably already have a good idea of how to do something like this (it's basically utilizing the same principles). The idea is that you want to route your sound into the input channel of your audio interface. By using the tape-out feature of a mixer, you can easily increase your mic/line inputs without needing a fancy (and expensive) interface. The only drawback is that you can't separate the mixer's mic inputs into separate channels within your DAW, but by utilizing the physical channels of the mixer, you can hopefully adjust your levels accordingly and accomplish many of the same tasks that a large, multi-channel interface can accomplish.
