Often rowers are opening their body too soon in the drive because they are over-compressing at the catch. These tips will help you fix your over-compression and allow you to focus on initiating the drive of your stroke with your legs.

2 - row with heels down to eliminate ability to over-compress
3 - use a piece of electrical tape on the rail so that when you hear the wheels click over it, you'll know to start the drive and not continue forward
