Roxas' Sorrow

Song: "Sorrow"- Flyleaf. Clips: Kingdom Hearts/ COM/ 2. Amv By: Darkmagic2046. This is one of the few AMVs that I've actually made that follows pretty much point-blank with the lyrics (below the explanation) and an actual lengthy explanation (but don't be deterred, its necessary to know at least most of the lyrics and read the explanation to understand where I'm going with this Roxas-Centering-AMV. [IF YOU NEVER WATCHED OR PLAYED ANY OF THE KINGDOM HEARTS SERIES, YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET THIS! YOU STEAL THIS- PREPARE TO GET BURNED!!!] The first stanza along with the clips is pretty much self-explanatory. The "moon is dark, meant to make me strong" is referring to that alternate realm Roxas (and Sora) fell into pretty much in the starting of the games, and it represents how its helping Roxas with the mysterious mastering of the keyblade (for he's forgotten everything and is slowly re-learning his somebody's --and his own- past once more. The next one with the "familiar breath" and "changed the color" part is meant as; even though he cannot remember his past, the familiar feeling of the nobodies and the keyblade stirs old feelings --and old fears- within him. And of course the chorus in this whole AMV talks about the one-sided battle he seems to be fighting, and --even though he's fighting as hard as he can- he can't ever win. The fact that after their done with him --for reawakening Sora- he will be in a sense destroyed and will no longer exist, but that's okay, because to them; he didn't exist anyway. He knows he will still exist in Sora, and so he can continue to fight in his own way because he is a someone and a somebody in a sense, because he has a heart. The part in which the lyrics speak about memories I decided to show his initial "creation" and then his final moments with his best-friend in which Axel (said best-friend) disappears. "Sitting closer than my pain, he knew each tear before it came"- At this part, where it shows Axel shedding a tear, silently tells you that he knew this day would come, but he is happy for Roxas, and knows they will meet again in the next life... (Quote, yes I know) The chorus in this section is supposed to be a basic flash back of his recent struggles to fight for his own heart. It also represents how innocent he is, for not knowing what is actually going on till the very end, and yet, still fights in the right direction for him, without becoming too lost in despair. The next part, with "and we kiss each other one more time" until "won't be fooled by his angel light." Shows that he's nearing his end and it's getting harder --and somewhat pointless- to fight. He realizes the real danger and the truth now, though at this point, he is helpless to do anything about it. The part with the sword... well... kinda self-explanatory once again. Now that final chorus, shows that it is too late and what's done has been done, he is shown the full extent on what's to happen to him, and what they took away from him in exchange for Sora's life back... His friends, his home, and his life itself. Now that he knows what he has done in the past, to gain freedom from the organization, only to fall right into DiZ's hands, to show what he's gone through and to show that the struggle is over. But in a sense he's finally found peace within Sora, and within himself, just like the end of the second video game.
