RUMI | Robotic Utility Mapping and Inspection

RUMI offers a comprehensive solution for subsurface utility construction, inspection, management, and planning, through the use of state-of-the-art robotics, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality technologies. The compact all-terrain robot is equipped with an industry-standard ground penetrating radar, an RTK GPS receiver, a 3D LIDAR sensor, and a stereo camera. RUMI scans a selected region while avoiding all fixed and moving obstacles, allowing the operator to remain in a safe location. A three-dimensional visualization of above- and underground data can be viewed on a mobile device as a map or as an augmented reality projection.
