Having a life centred around abuse and very little communication with others besides those I've played with in online video games, I struggle to identify what's spoken in jest. I don't want those close to me feeling they need to walk on egg shells over what they can and can't say around me, so I'm fighting an internal battle to not let my past continue to haunt me and make me feel uncomfortable. It's time to bury the past and look towards a future with the people I've come to love.
