London-born Doug Sheldon began his career in acting, landing a part in the 1961 film "The Guns of Navarone". During that time he shared a flat in London with two other "unkown" actors - Michael Caine and Sean Connery. He was "discovered" as a singer and scored three minor UK chart hits in 1962/63 before returning to acting. This was the first of the three, a cover of Dion's hit. It made #36 in 1962.
