Running The Wannie Line

The Wannie Line is a circular route from Scots Gap, Northumberland which takes you out into the Wallington Estate, following sections of two disused Railway Lines. We first head out onto the Rothbury Line which was opened in 1870 and closed in the 1960's. Then we head into woodland and farmland until we join the Wannie line which was opened in 1862. The route is just over 6 miles long and has some good variation of terrain. The route is marked and pretty easy to follow.
