This is the Main Theme from "Russian Roulette". This game show ran on GSN (Game Show Network) for two seasons and it was hosted by Mark L. Walberg and announced by Burton Richardson. There are four contestants to compete in the game and each player starts out with $150. Round 1 contains questions worth the same amount. The show starts with one Drop Zone and five Safe Zones and in every elimination round, a new Drop Zone is added with each new question until the limit is five. One contestant is randomly selected to pick an opponent to answer a multiple-choice question with three possible answers. Then the picked contestant has ten seconds to pick an answer. If they are correct, they win $150 and take control of the game. However, wrong answers or running out of time results in the player giving up all winning to the challenger and play a game of Russian Roulette with the number of Drop Zones shown (1 to 5)--the player would pull the handle they see in front of them to do so. The trapdoor is unlocked and if the player lands on a Drop Zone, he/she is eliminated from the game. In Season 1, it was a Random Spin and in Season 2, the player would control the wheel. After a contestant drops out of the game, the round is over and play continues with the next round. Rounds 2 and 3 are left with three and two contestants remaining, respectively. Round 2's questions are worth $200 and there are now four possible answers instead of three. In Season 1, Round 3's questions are worth $300 and in Season 2, the questions were worth $250. The rules still apply for Rounds 2 and 3, just like Round 1. Also in Round 3, the player in control has a chance to answer the question himself/herself and risk all their winnings OR pass the question and challenge their opponent. In the case of time expiring in a round, the chime will go off. That means the round is over and whoever is in the lead is immune from dropping out--in other words, the only one safe--and the other players are vulnerable, in which one of them will be randomly selected to drop out of the game. Also, the immune player gets to pull the handle in the middle of the stage. However, if more than one player is tied for the lead, then all players are vulnerable and the host pulls the lever. If time expires in Round 3, the player with the higher amount of money wins the game and the other player is eliminated. By Round 4 (the Final Round), the champion gets to keep all winnings during the game and gets the chance to add another $10,000 or even $100,000. In this round, players are asked questions. A wrong answer or time running out will result in the player dropping. Also, players are timed for one minute and a Drop Zone will open every ten seconds. In Season 1, there were 5 Brain-Teaser questions, referred to the host as "5 Killer Questions" worth $500 for every correct answer in case either action occurred. Also, the player had to give the phrase "My Answer Is" before giving an answer so that thinking out loud is not mistaken. In Season 2, there were ten questions worth $300 for every correct answer in case either action occurred. And the phrase "My Answer Is" was removed from the round. If all questions were correctly answered, the player wins an additional $10,000 and has the option to increase the money tenfold by playing one more game of Russian Roulette. If he/she said yes, the player would do so and if he survived, the $10K would increase tenfold to go with their total winnings. However, if the player dropped, then he/she only kept the money won in the previous rounds. If the player said no, then he/she would at least play Russian Roulette to find out what would've happened in case he/she actually said yes. Only three contestants--two from Season 1 and one from Season 2--survived Russian Roulette in the Final Round and won the $100,000 top prize. 1. Al Winchell ($102,150 with three Drop Zones; Season 1) 2. Todd Truly ($102,200 with four Drop Zones; Season 1) 3. Maria Lay ($102,000 with five Drop Zones; the only player to survive in Season 2)
