Something opened up in that silence, and what came through felt less like composing and more like receiving and discovering the music that was always there. It was like taking a quiet walk with no destination in mind, and somewhere along the way the music just… appeared. A melody would surface from nowhere, an idea would bloom out of the stillness, and all I had to do was follow where it led. There was something genuinely magical about that and experiencing these moments — stumbling onto these little worlds of melody hiding inside the stillness, just waiting to be found. These songs felt passed along to me, which is where the title of this collection of songs comes from, "Heirloom"... something passed on to me, and now with so much joy I pass them on to you.
