Sanctuary.

This was before Eliza and Derek were persecuted. In the beginning as their relationship grew, Derek really had questions and doubts. But Eliza always helped him out. Eliza would also encourage him to keep reading the Bible and to not go a day without reading it (I should rlly follow that advice aha). They encouraged each other a lot. While they were still new to missionary work they both grew and bonded together till the end. Their friendship reminds me a lot of Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” I love their dynamic so much. They do seem like they get along really well and don’t get me wrong they do. But they did argue a lot in the beginning. But as things got more serious they grew together.
