Sand casting starts with tooling design and manufacture. During the design stage, computer software is used to simulate cooling and solidification and detect potential casting defects so that the design of tooling and gating system can be adjusted when necessary. Impro has both resin and green sand casting processes for iron castings. Hot box and cold box core technologies are available to meet different product needs. Our resin sand casting molding lines include IMF automatic lines and manual floor molding depending on part volume and part complexity. Impro has green sand casting processes at multiple locations in China and Mexico. Similar to the resin sand casting, this process starts with tooling design and manufacture. We have Sinto and KW automatic molding lines. Melting and pouring is subject to stringent control. Impro is a vertically integrated one-stop solution provider for high complex and multi-cored sand castings. In addition to casting services, we provide heat treatment, casting machining, heat treatment, and surface treatment, which are all in house to provide reliable quality and delivery performance. Our facility incorporates a state-of-the-art quality assurance department equipped with instruments such as spectrometers, metallurgical microscopes, cleanliness meters, and ultrasonic, radiographic, and magnetic particle inspection devices. Along with dimensional measurement and metallographic analysis, we perform other testing per customer specifications. Our sand casting services are ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certified and comply with automotive, transportation, energy, and other industry standards. With our flexible manufacturing setup, we produce parts in low to medium-order quantities.
