Sand Key Beach Drowning
**** UPDATE**** As of September 4th at 2:15pm a personal boating party found his body. Clearwater Fire Rescue on scene of a drowning at Sand Key Beach in Florida On Monday September 3rd around 2:45pm. Reports that a man, James Poindexter, yelled for help and then went under. On a news channel there was a picture of a bull shark swimming around the area. Units searched for 24 hours and were unable to find him. September 4th they called off the search. Clearwater fire rescue said the current was so strong it was taking the masks off their divers. Units on scene: Clearwater Fire Rescue Engine 44, CL320, District 45 (Command), Engine 46, LR49, Truck 45, Fire Boat 44, Light Marine 44, Dive 51, CL610, CL600, Engine 49, Rehab 48, Pinellas county Sheriff's Eagle Helicopter, Clearwater Police boat and light Marine Unit. Florida Fish and Wildlife boat and the United States Coast Guard. Rest in Peace :(
