This was a fan favorite. Momma and I have done several arrangements of this song. Momma is a strong presence and her female fans picked up the way she empowered women in her music. We are both approaching 75 years of age and have been together for fifty years. We have made music ,children, and laughter together.
When we met I was playing guitar behind some famous people, but I have NEVER witnessed her equal as a performer. She sang like Etta James and told jokes like Red Foxx. Audiences loved her! The irony may be that I composed her feminist anthems.
