Hi my name is Tim Green and I'm a Guitarist from the north of England. Each Saturday I give you a new scale based thing to learn.
This week I take a look a one of Yorkshire's greatest guitarists - John McLaughlin.
John McLaughlin practises and plays his scales in a certain way that in some ways, mirrors how John Coltrane (the great tenor Sax player) did. I use this method to play and practice our G major Big Shape which, if you are not familiar with, you can follow the link below.
