Scaled Gradient Nail Art Tutorial

As soon as I saw this, I knew I had to try the technique - kind of a cousin to the reciprocal gradient I think, the scaled gradient has endless possibilities & pattern & color Inspired by SimplyNailogical's Rainbow Scaled Gradient: http://instagram.com/p/pTbTsYOj0F/?modal=true Nail polish and products used: China Glaze - Coconut Kiss China Glaze - Liquid Leather Elmers Glue (optional) Sponge (I use a makeup sponge, any kind will work) Tape (I used painter's tape) Step-by-Step -Start out with clean, dry nails and apply a base coat -Use Coconut Kiss as your base color -"Mask" around the edge of your nails with the glue (optional) -Apply your first layer of sponging with both colors -Allow to dry completely, then apply the tape with the point towards the tip of your nail -Apply your second layer of sponging with both colors -Remove tape -Clean up around the edges -Finish with a top coat!
