Scanning at half

A skill zone to introduce how to read the defence throughout the game, specifically the actions of the touching defender around the roll ball. Setting up the drill 4 lines 2x 'Touch' Zones Outside lines act as the 'Half' Middle 2 lines receive an out ball and perform the Touch After the player performs the roll ball, they must split with their momentum and be ready to receive the ball The half must watch the controller with 2x colours of cones, and respond to the colour, either to: 1. Feed the splitter 2. Feed the next line on an out ball You can progress by having 2x defenders in the 'Touch zones' and they either go towards the splitter or the runner - the half & the attackers must determine where the space is and feed to that space.
