SciCraft Factorio || January 2nd, 2021
Some background: At the beginning of the year, I convinced a group of SciCrafters to try out Factorio with me. I'm a long-time player and I quite enjoy the game, and I figured I'd try to share it with the others. We got a group together, set up a server, and picked a Saturday to sit down and start a factory. The original plan was to make this a YouTube series, which is why I didn't stream this. I had grand plans to edit it down and schedule more events and everything... and at this point, it should be pretty clear how that turned out. On top of that, I did a poor job of setting the pace and went WAY too fast for people who were new to the game. That caused some burnout and reduced interest, so there were only one or two more big sessions after this. Despite my errors, I've come to decide that it's probably better to have it out there than just burning a hole in my hard drive. So, enjoy almost seven hours of raw, unedited gameplay featuring me going way too fast, essentially playing by myself, and talking about how annoying the footage will be to edit/manage/etc. If you search for them, you can probably find a few others' perspectives. You live, you learn, I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
