I have finished the design of the machine and while it's not perfect it certainly seems that it will be working just the way I wanted it to :)

You will need a few M3 screws, a lot of M4 and M5 ones, 8 8mm Linear bearings and 4 regular skater bearings (also 8mm).
The total cost is around 150$ and a few days of printing time.
