I made this keepsake box out of walnut and poplar using my scroll saw, homemade disk sander, and plans from Rockler.
It is made like a layer cake with each piece cut individually and then stacked, sanded, and finished.
It was a learning experience about finishing poplar which doesn't like to cooperate with staining.
