Detailed tutorial in a project based learning manner, on reverse engineering physical layer in radio communication. Viewers learn Gnu Radio through a fun and engaging project. We try to reverse engineer the communication protocol between a wireless remote controller and a toy, learning the functionality of the blocks, and general architecture of digital receivers in the process. Each block I try to explain in detail. Associated gnuradio file: https://github.com/nitrojacob/gr-flows/blob/main/rtlsdr/27mhz_fire_engine_remotecontrol_decoder.grc Previously published as https://youtu.be/4koACEEZMiQ. That was single take, un-edited. Now with 1. Audio filtered to reduce noise 2. Some edits to reduce redundancy especially towards the beginning.
