I grew up on the coast. When I am by the ocean and especially on an intense stormy day I feel rushes of emotional catharsis and raw feelings that speak and feel louder than any sunlight can do. It is difficult to put into words, but I love it.
When it is post-sunset but pre-complete darkness like in this video I feel attuned with my emotional state and feel more able to reflect upon my life and my choices better. I have tried to make these three minutes in the form of a love letter to this feeling, and the natural low-fi of video tape was the perfect medium for me.
