'Secesh' also sometimes known as 'Shiloh' is a Civil War song dating back to at least 1864. While the songs sheet music has existed since the war, the earliest known recorded version comes from the 1920s. There are different versions of the song with different lyrics, but all tell the story of a southerner motivated to join the Confederate army to fight in the Battle of Shiloh. This version is performed by The Tennessee Mafia Jug Band.
