Second Air Layer attempt using Girdle Method 2026

This is my second air layer attempt on my Old faithful Celeste tree. I missed a too tall and too stout run that I would not be able to harvest so I decided to attempt a couple air layers on it before cutting it out. This time I am trying anew method for me called the Girdle Method. In which you cut an inch or so of the bark off all the way around the limb below the cambium layer. Then I treated with Clonex Rooting Gel and then used a gallon zip lock bag full of moist potting soil and duck tape to adhere it to the limb. The final step was to wrap it in foil and hope for the best!!
