It's been a while, but over the summer I took some time to hook up my home alarm system – an Interlogix NX-8v2 – to a telecom system, then programmed the alarm to connect to Protostar Alarm Monitoring. This means it can be monitored by a central monitoring station instead of standing as a local alarm/protected premises system.
