In this video Steve shares an old-hat technique for dealing with a seized pump motor upon startup for the season. With old single speed pool pumps it is not uncommon to jog them with a mallet to free the moving parts from corrosion which has developed over the off season. This used to be quite common to deal with however more and more pool owners now have variable speed pool pumps which are a different design and hitting them with a mallet will not help!
