At only 23, Selena had already done many things that Shakira and JLO did years later: She was working on the perfume, opened two boutiques and a line of clothing, recorded english songs, released Spanish and Bilingual albums, performed at the Houston Astrodome stadium 3 times in a row breaking records and had already been in a movie and a soap opera We know she could have achievef evething Shakira and JLO accomplished later and much more. Selena was just 23 in 1995. Shakira followed her steps. She also started singing in Spanish releasing several albums in this language. Several years later she released a Bilingual album (Laundry Service) before launching a full English album (Oral Fixaxion). Since then, she has performed at the Super Bowl, the World Cups, released perfums and has done several crossover tours around the world singing both in English and Spanish. Jennifer Lopez, who played Selena, was a dancer and actress and later decided to be a singer, releasing mostly English language albums and one Spanish album.She has also released perfumes and a clothing line. They were both inspired by Selena. Selena just had it. She was natural at everything, could sing any genre and was a magnet onstage. She would have been up there with the Jacksons.
