Class-5: Basics of Bioinformatics
This class has been prepared keeping in mind the Bioinformatics syllabus of UG and PG Courses in Botany/Zoology/Biotechnology of most Indian universities. In this lecture I am trying to give an idea about different methods for sequence alignment and the algorithms used for the alignments. In this lecture, I have discussed the Local Sequence Alignment using Smith-Waterman Algorithm and the Dot Plot Method as well.
