Serene (Full EP)

Serene, A Frutiger Aero inspired EP based on soundtracks you'd hear on game consoles in the 2000s (Or "aughts" as people call them) The idea was to make a bunch of songs that give a more minimal, less in your face feel than my usual work, so it's not really meant to be exciting or have you at the edge of your seat, but more something you can have in the background while working or if you want to relax! I did what I could to try to study the music that was considered part of this aesthetic, and a lot of the playlists I found come from Nintendo music. What I found was mixing/mastering that isn't super loud or punchy, but more neutral and laid back. Instrumentals that are a mix of super simple synths, drum machines (like the TR808 and 606) and midi instruments. And a mix of genres like House music, Bossa Nova elements, and of course I had to sneak in some DnB elements somehow. There's probably more I'm forgetting but I should really save that for a video covering the style from the perspective of music. I had a lot of fun making these songs and I hope you enjoy them!
