How we can serve the general public - including those at the lower end of the wealth spectrum - without judging who is deserving and who isn't?
Universal Basic Income has been explored in limited pilot programs with mostly positive results for recipients, who experience better mental health, less use of other social services, and whose lives become more stable. Generally, they DON'T WORK LESS, but when they do it´s usually to get more schooling or to provide more child care.
This is the type of 'Helping People' program that the Right usually attacks blindly, because they are so concerned about supporting others they deem not worthy, which too often translates into people who aren't like them.
We need to reduce Judgement in politics, and be more willing to assist those whose lives and lifestyles we may not fully understand.
