Session 6 (19/05/2026)
This was an educational class session focused on programming concepts, specifically the protractor and repeat commands in what appears to be a turtle graphics programming environment. Nitin led the discussion explaining how the protractor command is used to measure angles in figures, demonstrating its utility for measuring interior angles in triangles and understanding concepts like exterior angles and supplementary angles. The class explored how to use the repeat command, which takes two inputs - the number of times to repeat and the chunk of code to repeat - and discussed its benefits, including reducing code duplication, making programs shorter and easier to understand, and minimising potential errors. Students participated in exercises practising the repeat command to create figures such as rectangles, with Nitin emphasising the importance of proper code formatting and encouraging students to practice the concepts learned through additional exercises and projects.
