Setting Up Hive Stands (Beekeeping)

Today I’m setting up hive stands in my apiary as the beekeeping season is now underway. This is one of the most important parts of apiary setup, and in this video I walk through how I position my hive stands, level them, and prepare my bee yard for active colonies. A solid hive stand setup helps keep beehives off the ground, improves airflow, reduces moisture issues, and can even help with pest management like small hive beetles. It also makes hive inspections easier by bringing the boxes up to a more comfortable working height.
