In this video we try to clarify how your presser foot position while threading can and will effect your tension.
As you see in the video, threading with your presser foot down will result in your thread sitting on the outside of your tension disks rather than inside. When this happens you will have no upper tension resulting in loops and bunching on the bottom side of your material.
To remedy this, be sure that your presser foot is lifted when threading the top thread.
