SFU MATH 232 3.2 Matrix and Linear Mappings

SFU Math 232 Section 3.2. This is the main lecture for section 3.2. This lecture introduces the important idea of a linear mapping. In this context a matrix is seen as an operator and it operates on a vector. This is followed by the idea of projection and the standard matrix for projection in R^2. Compositions of transformations are also discussed.
