Nyāya, one of the six classical Indian philosophical systems (Shaddarshanas), is the school of logic and reasoning. Rooted in Gautama Rishi's Nyāya Sūtras, it emphasizes systematic inquiry, debate, and valid means of knowledge (pramāṇas), particularly inference (anumāna).
