As technology changes, corporations strive to find new ways to shove computers into things we don't need, or to otherwise digitize or take advantage of some new piece of tech in abjectly stupid ways hoping nobody realizes how unfathomably moronic that decision is. Or put another way, the people who actually understand tech are the ones who hate it the most, using nothing but appliances from the 1980s and earlier, with their printer being the newest thing they have, and they keep a loaded .45 nearby just in case it makes any strange sounds. A story I tell my mother when I visit her. I laugh. She looks confused. The toaster laughs. I shoot the toaster. Her neighbors rush over concerned about the gunshots they heard. We then have donuts. I don't know who actually reads these things anymore, so every so often I just put a bunch of brain rot in here, in addition to some requisite links and disclaimers.
