Shapes & Sounds: Episode 3

Welcome to the third episode of a collaborative endeavor titled "Shapes and Sounds". A mixed media initiative with the intention of fusing improvised music with improvised artworks! This concept was created with the desire to move away from regular synth jam videos of machines and hands. To create something more visually appealing and to combine processes to result in something greater than the sum of all parts. This time up we have Shapes made by Mabe, an Italian born mixed media artist, tattooist and print maker. Mabe uses found objects to create a Monotype print - which can only be printed once. His movements are tracked by a contact microphone which is being processed by the Electribe 2. Sounds in this episode are provided by Dutch artist Aengus and Australian producer Schtang. They combine the Electribe 2 and Bass Station for some deep, ambient and textural audio to accompany the print making.
